On Friday, March 17th 2023, all primary school students and the first-year students from middle school lived a remarkable day: the ENGLISH DAY. All activities revolved around communication in English, with a blend of games, workshops, and great fun.
The students had the chance to watch some all English theatrical performances, presented by the Bell Beyond company. The first and second-graders had the pleasure of watching Pinocchio, while the third and fourth-graders enjoyed Alice in Wonderland. The fifth graders, alongside the first-year students from middle school, had a thrilling time with the mysterious Sherlock Holmes. After the shows, everyone took part in a short workshop with the actors.
During break time, the students pampered themselves with a tasty English Break, which included tea and biscuits. The lunch was equally satisfying, with hamburgers served with fish and chips.
The shows, activities, and games were all very stimulating and allowed the children to fully immerse themselves in the language they usually learn in classroom. The English Day was an outstanding opportunity for learning, with a focus on LEARNING THROUGH PLAY!
Venerdì 17 marzo 2023 tutti gli alunni della Scuola Primaria e le classi prime della Scuola Secondaria di Primo Grado hanno vissuto una giornata speciale: l’ENGLISH DAY. Tutte le attività si sono svolte all’insegna della comunicazione in lingua inglese nell’alternarsi di momenti di giochi, laboratori e grande divertimento.
Gli alunni hanno inizialmente assistito ad una serie di spettacoli teatrali, rigorosamente in lingua inglese, proposti dalla compagnia “Bell Beyond”. “Pinocchio” è stato scelto per le classi prime e seconde, “Alice in Wonderland” per le classi terze e quarte e l’intrigante “Sherlock Holmes” per le classi quinte insieme alle prime della Secondaria di Primo Grado. A seguire tutti hanno partecipato ad un piccolo workshop con gli attori.
Il momento dell’intervallo è stato arricchito da un tipico e goloso English Break composto da tea and biscuits. Il pranzo ha soddisfatto le gioie di tutti con Hamburger accompagnato da fish and cheaps!
Gli spettacoli, le attività ed i giochi sono stati sempre stimolanti e hanno permesso ai bambini di immergersi in toto nella lingua che solitamente viene studiata sui banchi di scuola. La giornata dell’English Day è stata una vera un’occasione di apprendimento, vissuta nell’ottica di IMPARARE GIOCANDO!
